Vietnam is emerging as an ideal tourist destination in 2012

Always known that a place that has gone through several problems during its existence, ended giving way to a destination to discover. In the collective imagination houses the image of a country ravaged by war, poverty and war, but once past the clouds, we can find a place that we ever thought could exist in that way.

Vietnam is emerging as the first destination to be discovered in 2012, according to an annual survey conducted by the Association of the United States Tour Operators (USTOA). The study results were released on the occasion of an entity’s annual conference, held recently in Marco Island, Florida. Vietnam was mentioned most frequently by respondents when asked about emerging destinations gain popularity in 2012, over India, Ecuador and China.

The USTOA is a professional group whose members offer the most tours and vacation packages through travel agencies that are located almost everywhere in the world. In 2011, Hanoi and the old quarter of Hoi An in central Viet Nam, were among the top 10 tourist destinations in Asia and relaxing selected by the online magazine Smart Travel Asia Travel, based in Hong Kong.

Meanwhile, the Sofitel Legend Metropole in Hanoi and Nam Hai resort in Hoi An, ranked first of the 25 best hotels and resorts on the continent. Vietnam last year hosted more than six million international visitors a record without precedent, with China as the largest source market. This result is due to the efforts of the General Department of Tourism, localities and enterprises to improve the quality of products and organizing promotional activities abroad. The Vietnamese smokeless industry plans to welcome 10 million international holiday in 2020.
